Canada will be stepping up its financial crimes enforcement

Léon Moubayed was interviewed for a recent article in Dow Jones Risk Journal titled "Canada Financial Crimes Enforcers Step Up in 2025." The article addresses the planned creation of a new agency dedicated to investigating complex cases of money laundering, organized criminal activity, online financial scams and recovering illicit proceeds after a record year for Canada's Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre (Fintrac) in filed enforcement actions.
