The International Association of Defense Counsel Welcomes Chanakya Sethi
Chanakya Sethi was recently invited to join the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC). He joins Chantelle Cseh, who is already a member of this exclusive group of approximately 2,500 leading corporate litigators from around the world.
Chan is a trial and appellate litigator focused on high-stakes matters. He has helped lead the defence of several bet-the-company cases in both Canada and the United States, including Davies’ successful defence of the C$26-billion Rogers-Shaw merger, the largest case ever heard by the Competition Tribunal. Chan’s broad-based experience includes class actions, cutting-edge public law cases, international arbitration and intellectual property disputes.
Chantelle is known for her skilled advocacy and strategic judgment. She specializes in complex commercial litigation, class actions, securities litigation and competition litigation. Chantelle has appeared as counsel in courts and tribunals across the country, including as lead counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada in a precedent-setting case concerning privacy in the digital age. She is recognized as one of the top 50 trial lawyers in Canada by Benchmark Litigation.
