Charles Tingley Appointed to the Executive of the CBA’s Competition Law and Foreign Investment Review Section
Charles Tingley has been appointed as one of six Officers within the Executive of the Canadian Bar Association’s Competition Law and Foreign Investment Review Section.
In his new role on the Executive, initially as Secretary, Charles will lend his expertise in support of the Section’s mission to promote legal and policy analysis, consult with relevant enforcement bodies and the Competition Tribunal, contribute to the review of proposed legislation and policies, deliver educational programming and foster leadership and relations among competition and foreign investment review practitioners in Canada and abroad.
Charles brings a combination of expert knowledge in competition law and enforcement agency experience to this senior leadership position. In his practice, he advises on Canadian competition and foreign investment review law, including mergers, abuse of dominance, cartel investigations, misleading advertising and general compliance matters. Charles has held a variety of leadership positions within the Section at the committee level and currently co-hosts the Section’s Counterfactual podcast, which he helped launch in 2022.
