Litigation Counsel of America Welcomes Two Davies Partners as Fellows
The Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) welcomes both Marc-André Boutin and Léon Moubayed as fellows. This is a peer-selected society of top trial lawyers, rigorously vetted for their expertise and service, who represent clients across North America and globally.
Marc-André is a highly skilled commercial litigator and arbitration specialist, known for handling a broad spectrum of complex disputes across industries such as real estate, construction, contracts, and product liability. With deep expertise in representing clients before courts at all levels, as well as in international arbitration proceedings before the ICC International Court of Arbitration, Marc-André combines sharp legal insight with a strategic, globally-minded approach. His ability to manage multifaceted cases makes him a trusted advisor for businesses facing significant legal challenges, both locally and internationally.
A partner in the Investigations and White Collar Defence and Dispute Resolution practices, Léon is a key player in complex and often highly political, high-profile issues. His particular expertise includes challenging search warrants, wiretaps and other investigative techniques. He also acts in complex commercial disputes and public law matters such as constitutional challenges and judicial reviews, including advocating for fundamental rights and other social causes on a pro bono basis. Furthermore, Léon was appointed amicus curiae of the Supreme Court by the Chief Justice of Canada in an appeal where criminal law and civil law were closely intertwined.
Litigation Counsel of America fellows are chosen for their excellence and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and their superior ethical reputation. Society membership represents less than one percent of American lawyers. We consider this a testament to the high level of work both Marc-André and Léon provide for their clients.
