Jean-Philippe Groleau Inducted into American College of Trial Lawyers

March 11, 2024

Congratulations to our partner Jean-Philippe Groleau on becoming a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), an elite organization of trial lawyers from the United States and Canada who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality.

Fellowship in the ACTL is limited to only those trial lawyers who are eminently qualified and who have been actively engaged in trial work for a minimum of 15 years. Membership can never be more than 1% of the total lawyer population of any state or province.

Widely regarded as a determined, creative and skilled litigator, Jean-Philippe specializes in complex and high-profile cases, with a particular emphasis on public law disputes, including constitutional challenges and judicial reviews of administrative actions. He has successfully represented clients before administrative and arbitral tribunals and at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, where he has appeared as lead counsel on multiple cases that addressed a range of legal issues. Jean-Philippe is consistently recognized as a top litigator in leading ranking publications, including Chambers Canada, The Lexpert/American Lawyer Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada, The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, The Legal 500 and Benchmark Canada.

The induction ceremony at which Jean-Philippe became a fellow took place recently in Phoenix, Arizona. He joins The Honourable Morris J. Fish, Guy Du Pont, Sandra Forbes, Nick Rodrigo and Kent Thomson as fellow Davies lawyers who are members of the ACTL.
