Davies Advises on Insolvency & Restructuring Deal of the Year at 2021 Canadian Law Awards

Davies is proud to have advised on the restructuring of Cirque du Soleil, which won Insolvency & Restructuring Deal of the Year at the second annual Canadian Law Awards on May 20, 2021.
In the context of Cirque du Soleil’s insolvency proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act in Canada and Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, Davies is acting for two parties: Québecor Inc., a potential acquirer of Cirque du Soleil; and the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, one of the most important secured creditors of Cirque du Soleil.
