Pauline is a litigator who has assisted clients in a range of complex matters, including in civil, commercial and white-collar law. She has also been involved in class action defence – including in the areas of securities and consumer protection. She has represented a diverse local and international clientele, including companies in the aerospace, retail, energy and technology sectors, before all levels of court in Québec.

Prior to her practice in litigation, Pauline worked as a law clerk for the Honourable Justice Mélanie Hébert at the Criminal and Penal Division of the Court Of Québec – an experience that provided her with an in-depth understanding of the inner workings of the judicial system.

Rio Tinto Limited

Acting for Rio Tinto Limited in relation to its US$6.7-billion Oyu Tolgoi project in a proposed class action filed in the district of Montréal seeking leave proceed under the Securities Act (Québec) and certification under the Québec Code of Civil Procedure. Oyu Tolgoi is one of the world's largest new copper-gold mines and is located in the South Gobi region of Mongolia, approximately 550 km south of the capital, Ulaanbaatar, and 80 km north of the Mongolia-China border.

Groupe BMTC Inc. (formerly Brault & Martineau Inc. and Ameublements Tanguay Inc.)

Acting for Groupe BMTC Inc. (formerly Brault & Martineau Inc. and Ameublements Tanguay Inc.) in defence of a class action instituted against large retailers in Québec claiming that their advertisement informing of the availability of consumer credit contravenes the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act and the Regulation respecting the Application of the Consumer Protection Act.

Honeywell International Inc.

Representing Honeywell International Inc. against Bombardier Inc. in the context of a $450-million claim in relation to various contracts for the supply by Honeywell of aircraft propulsion units for Bombardier's Challenger 300, Challenger 350 and CSeries programs.

Barrick Gold Corporation

Acting for Barrick Gold Corporation and certain of its former and existing officers and directors in defence of multi-billion dollar class actions in Ontario and Québec alleging breaches of the public disclosure requirements under provincial securities legislation concerning Barrick's Pascua Lama mining project in Chile and Argentina.
