A Major Donation from Davies and Our Lawyers, to the Université de Montréal, Will Promote Access to Law Studies

We are proud to announce that Davies and our lawyers will be donating $425,000 to the Université de Montréal, as part of the university’s Brave the way campaign. This donation will enable the creation of the Cap Droit Davies Fund, a scholarship fund to support the ÉDIFIER project, put into place by the University, which aims to increase the percentage of students from underrepresented communities in law programs.

“At Davies, we firmly believe that education is a key element to transform lives and build communities. Many members of our team graduated from the Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Law, so we’re honoured to be able to support the next generation of lawyers from this university, through the Brave the way campaign. This donation from members of the firm is a testament to our commitment to make the study of law accessible to a greater number of students, helping them achieve their full potential.” [Translation], said Philippe Johnson, Managing Partner of Davies’s Montreal office and a Université de Montréal alumnus.

We are proud to collaborate with the Université de Montréal on this major project, and we look forward to seeing the achievements of the jurists who will benefit from the implementation of this new fund.
