A significant real estate investment fund
Acted for a significant real estate investment fund in an arbitration relating to the termination of an offer to purchase a property to establish a crypto-mining facility and a dispute relating to the release of a purchase price of $3.5 million held in trust by a third party.
Epic Games Inc. and Epic Games Canada ULC
Acting for Epic Games Inc. of North Carolina and its Canadian subsidiary Epic Games ULC in relation to a class action by users of the popular video game Fortnite.
Daisye Marcil
Acted for the plaintiffs in a class action involving all Québec parents who were required to pay fees for the purchase of school books or other didactic material even though these fees should have been assumed by the school boards.
Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust
Acting for Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust in an injunctive matter involving Librairie Raffin and Librairie Renaud-Bray in connection with the leasing of commercial premises.
Triumph Aerostructures, LLC
Acted for Triumph Aerostructures, LLC, in connection with its dispute with Bombardier Inc. regarding the wing designed and manufactured by Triumph for Bombardier's Global 7000 business aircraft, including a $455-million claim filed by Triumph before the Québec Superior Court. The dispute was ultimately resolved to both parties' satisfaction.

Acted successfully for a Québec-based gas retailer in connection with criminal charges laid by the Competition Bureau for alleged price-fixing and related class actions. Davies has succeeded in obtaining a stay of the criminal proceedings against its client based on a breach of its constitutional rights.
