Earlier this week, Korea-based EcoPro BM, Ford and SK On announced their C$1.2 billion joint venture to build a new cathode manufacturing facility in Bécancour, Québec. This represents a significant investment in Canadian production of electric vehicle (EV) battery materials driven by a growing preference for EVs in North America.
