He represented West Face Capital Inc. in a series of high-profile lawsuits that resulted in more than a dozen victories, including the early dismissal of a C$1.3-billion claim arising from West Face’s acquisition and sale of WIND Mobile and the recent dismissal of a C$500-million claim against West Face under Ontario’s “anti-SLAPP” legislation.
• Chantelle Cseh is recognized for her stellar advocacy skills and is a trailblazer in the digitization of Ontario courtrooms. She acted as lead counsel for the Estate Trustees of Barry and Honey Sherman in a precedent-setting appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada involving privacy rights. She is a recipient of the Ontario Bar Association’s Heather McArthur Memorial Young Lawyers Award (2020); Osgoode Hall Law School’s Alumni Gold Key Award, One-to-Watch (2019); and a Lexpert Zenith Award: Celebrating Change Agents in Law (2019).
• Léon H. Moubayed represents corporations and directors in investigations, criminal prosecutions and related civil suits. He has achieved a number of precedent-setting victories and is actively involved in pro bono work, including the Québec secularism bill challenge. Léon was named Benchmark Litigation’s 2022 White-Collar Crime/Enforcement Litigator of the Year and is the second Canadian and youngest fellow of the prestigious International Academy of Financial Crime Litigators.
