Davies affiliated scholar Poonam Puri has been selected by the federal government as one of 10 distinguished leaders to serve on the inaugural Board of Directors of the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB). The directors were chosen from across Canada for their exceptional professional skills, infrastructure expertise and investment experience.

Twice-recognized as one of Canada’s 25 most influential lawyers by Canadian Lawyer, Poonam is a seasoned corporate director with board experience in mining, engineering, transportation, infrastructure and healthcare. She recently completed a nine-year term on the board of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority and currently sits on the boards of several public and private companies. She has served as a director of Women’s College Hospital and is on the Board of Trustees of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.

In her role at the CIB, Poonam and the other board members will guide the new Crown corporation in its mission to transform the way infrastructure is planned, funded and delivered in Canada.
