Davies Continues as a Leader in Chambers Global 2015

Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP has again been recognized as one of Canada’s leading law firms by Chambers and Partners in its 2015 annual publication, Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business.

Davies has the highest percentage of lawyer rankings as well as the highest percentage of Band 1 lawyer rankings — the highest level bestowed by Chambers — of any ranked law firm in Canada. Shawn McReynolds, Managing Partner in Toronto, said: “Davies lawyers continue to distinguish themselves. These rankings are a testament to the quality of our people and the excellent work they do, as recognized by clients and peers alike.”

Davies was named a leading Canadian firm in 12 practice areas, including Banking & Finance, Competition/Antitrust, Corporate/M&A, Dispute Resolution (Ontario, Québec and Class Actions), Energy & Natural Resources: Mining, Environmental, Projects: PPP & Infrastructure, Real Estate, Restructuring/Insolvency and Tax.

Each year, Chambers conducts research through a series of confidential and non-attributable in-depth interviews with lawyers and their clients. The rankings are based on technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment and other qualities most valued by clients. Rankings are independent, objective and based solely on the research team’s findings.
