David’s studies in biochemistry have helped hone his problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Why did you choose Davies?

I was initially introduced to Davies by all the coffee mugs scattered around McGill. I decided to start my career here because I met so many lovely people during the interview process and knew that I would be surrounded by smart, thoughtful lawyers who could offer excellent training and exposure.

Is there something about you that we would be surprised to learn?

You might be surprised to learn that one of my hobbies is magic. While I am a little past my magic prime, if you handed me a deck of cards, I would still have a few tricks up my sleeve. I even prepped a couple before the Course aux Stages, just in case it came up — sadly, it did not.

Is there an organization that means a lot to you?

I have been working as a student clinician at the Clinique juridique itinérante for the past year. The clinic’s mission is to promote access to justice for people experiencing homelessness in Montréal. Each month, we visit a local shelter to provide legal information and guidance. This experience has reinforced the power of legal education and how it can be used to positively impact people’s lives.
