Coordinator, Student Programs
Reporting to the Director, Student Programs, the Coordinator, Student Programs, is primarily involved in the day-to-day coordination of the law student recruitment programs at our Montréal office. This role requires a creative team player with strong communication skills who will adhere to the highest level of quality standards. The Coordinator, Student Programs is highly organized, detail oriented and skilled at juggling multiple projects and shifting priorities on top of their daily responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Chief Legal Talent and Culture Officer and the Director, Student Programs, the Coordinator, Student Programs, is responsible for coordinating:
- recruitment of students and stagiaires, including the Course aux Stages process
- planning and coordinating the interview process (in-office and virtual)
- liaising with internal interview team and student recruitment committee
- recruitment and engagement events
- liaising with universities’ career development offices and student associations to create calendars of events and partnerships throughout the academic year
- selecting venues, drafting invitations, event planning and day-of coordination
- coordinating with our internal Facilities and Hostess Services groups.
- Davies’ Montréal’s summer program and related events
- creating calendar of events and engagement initiatives
- selecting venues, drafting invitations, event planning and day-of coordination
- coordinating with our internal Facilities and Hostess Services groups.
- social media (Facebook and Instagram)
- creating social media content, including regular publications and targeted campaigns
- general monitoring of Davies’ social media pages.
- supporting new initiatives at the request of the Director, Student Programs, and/or the Chief Legal Talent and Culture Officer.
- budget tracking and data compilation with respect to all of the above, in collaboration with the department’s Administrative Assistant.
In addition, the Coordinator, Student Programs, may be asked to:
- assist with lawyer engagement initiatives
- assist with lateral recruitment
- liaise with the Student Programs team in our Toronto office
- support programs designed by the Specialist, Legal Talent Development, and other tasks, as needed.
Skills, Abilities and Experience Required
- Undergraduate university degree (preferred)
- Experience in a professional services firm or other similar role
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong sense of ownership and initiative
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities efficiently
- A deep understanding of client service principles
- Demonstrated resilience and ability to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter and team player
- Familiarity with the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Familiarity with social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook
