What surprised you most about Davies during the interview process?

What surprised me most about Davies during the interview process was how conversational it was. Whenever I was speaking to members of the Davies team, it did not feel like I had to prove myself to them. Instead, it felt like they genuinely wanted to get to know me as a person alongside my professional experiences. I also had the opportunity to speak with members of the firm about their hobbies, their families and the amazing work they do as lawyers. People at all levels of the firm made me feel comfortable to be myself, gave me time to ask the questions I was curious about and supported me throughout the process to show up as the best version of myself.

If you could have your own talk show, who would you invite as your first guest?

If I could have my own talk show, I would invite Meryl Streep as my first guest. The reason I chose Meryl is she was a true female trailblazer in the film industry and has starred in multiple movies I admire, Mamma Mia! and The Devil Wears Prada, to name a few. She is also a zealous advocate for issues surrounding education, gender equality, poverty, healthcare and women's rights – all causes I am passionate about advocating for as well.

Is there something about you that we would be surprised to learn?

I was a competitive dancer for 18 years. I competed in various styles including jazz, hip-hop and contemporary. I ended off my dance career as the Captain of the University of Toronto Mississauga dance team which allowed me to demonstrate my passion for leadership and teamwork.
