For more than 35 years, Pierre-André acted as lead counsel on complex M&A, project finance and real estate transactions – from development to financings, acquisitions, dispositions and securitizations – both in Canada and internationally.

He was Managing Partner in Montréal from 2000 to June 2017, following which he became counsel. He uses his creative mindset and business acumen to deliver innovative solutions to clients and provide wise guidance to the lawyers at our firm.

Pierre-André serves on the boards of a number of charitable and cultural organizations, including The Claridge Foundation, The Phyllis Lambert Foundation, the Canadian Centre for Architecture, the Blue Metropolis Foundation and the Sauvé Foundation.

Public Sector Pension Investment Board

Acted for Public Sector Pension Investment Board in connection with the acquisition by way of a joint venture with Henley Holding Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, of a 58 million square foot portfolio of core industrial properties held by investment funds owned and managed by Exeter Property Group for US $3.15 billion.

The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company

Acted for The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company ("Manulife") in a co-venture with Ivanhoé Cambridge Inc. for the acquisition and development of a high-rise office tower downtown Montréal containing approximately 486,000 square feet and in Manulife's leasing of approximately 270,000 square feet in the tower.

Hydro-Québec

Acted for Hydro-Québec in connection with its $4.75-billion proposed acquisition of substantially all of the assets of New Brunswick Power and that of its affiliates, including hydroelectric, combustion and nuclear facilities.
