Debbie conducts environmental and permitting due diligence reviews on transactions involving a wide range of industries and project developments across Canada, including mining, energy and forestry, manufacturing facilities and commercial sites.

As the firm’s environmental specialist for nearly 30 years, Debbie has extensive experience reviewing environmental site assessments and has conducted numerous compliance reviews. She is knowledgeable about regulatory requirements in various jurisdictions regarding permitting, monitoring and reporting of industrial discharges, new substances notification and waste management.

Debbie assists the environmental team in examining the complex and emerging environmental permitting and social licensing issues facing clients today, from environmental impact assessment and Indigenous consultation, to climate change and ESG issues, new contaminants such as PFAS and species at risk.
