Davies Once Again Named Competition Firm of the Year at 2021 Benchmark Litigation Canada Awards

Known for securing winning results when the stakes are high, Davies’ litigators have been recognized for their top-notch advocacy skills, winning Competition Firm of the Year for the second consecutive year at the 2021 Benchmark Litigation Canada Awards on May 12, 2021.

In and out of the courtroom, our litigators take a bold and innovative approach to achieve successful resolutions for our clients.

Always at the forefront of Canada’s most complex competition litigation, the team is acting for Apotex Inc. and related entities in defending a multibillion-dollar class action alleging anticompetitive conduct regarding the sale of generic drugs, and for SK Hynix Inc. and related entities in defending multiple class actions alleging anticompetitive conduct in the sale of dynamic random access memory chips. We also defended Denso Corporation and related entities in more than 20 class actions across Canada alleging bid-rigging and price-fixing regarding the sale of numerous types of automotive parts – the largest antitrust investigation in history.

The Benchmark Litigation Canada Awards, which are a culmination of extensive research and interviews with litigators and their clients, recognize the firms and litigators that have performed exceptionally.
