Three Wins for Davies at IFLR1000 Canada Awards 2020

Davies is proud to have won awards across three categories at the IFLR1000 Canada Awards 2020, announced on June 11.

The firm was named “Restructuring and Insolvency Team of the Year” for our groundbreaking work on a number of complex and high-profile cross-border restructurings and insolvencies over the past 12 months.

Additionally, Davies partner Christian Lachance received the award for “Restructuring and Insolvency Lawyer of the Year” in recognition of his outstanding impact on the field in 2019. Davies was also recognized for our work on the “Banking and Finance Deal of the Year,” the Wataynikaneyap $1.9-billion Power Transmission Project. Davies advised Fortis Inc. and FortisOntario Inc. on the on the landmark project, which was also named one of Lexpert’s Top 10 Deals of 2019.

The 2020 IFLR1000 Canada Awards celebrate the most outstanding legal innovation in cross-border transactions in 2019 and the teams and firms behind them.
