Four Davies Lawyers Honoured with 2019 Lexpert Zenith Awards

Davies lawyers Anita Banicevic, Chantelle Cseh, Julie Girard and Ray Rubin have each been honoured with a 2019 Lexpert Zenith Award: Celebrating Change Agents in Law. This year’s awards recognized lawyers who have moved the dial in such areas as thought leadership, technology in the legal profession, pro bono work and community service.

Anita Banicevic was honoured for her thought leadership on competition law and policy in the age of emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, algorithms and big data.

Chantelle Cseh was honoured for spearheading the use of tablet technology in the courtroom, helping to usher in a new era of electronic litigation in Ontario.

Julie Girard was honoured for her pro bono work representing four victims of convicted former ski coach Bertrand Charest, which led to the introduction of provincial and federal policies for sports governing bodies.

Ray Rubin was honoured for leveraging her legal skills to achieve transformational change in her volunteer role as president of Toronto’s Jewish community school, TanenbaumCHAT, by improving accessibility for students.

The awards were presented on Tuesday, June 18, at a gala event at the Arcadian Court in Toronto.
