Julie Girard, Josh Kuretzky and Natalie Renner have been honoured as 2019 Lexpert Rising Stars: Leading Lawyers Under 40 in recognition of their exceptional achievements as legal professionals and as members of the community.

Julie Girard is a key player in the Dispute Resolution practice, known for her advocacy skills and her ability to plead innovative issues that have a significant impact on her clients’ businesses. Julie has successfully represented clients in a variety of high-stakes commercial litigation cases, including environmental and competition class actions. In 2019, Julie was named to Canadian Lawyer’s Top 25 Most Influential list.

Josh Kuretzky is a highly regarded partner in the Private Equity, Hedge Funds & Venture Capital and M&A practices, known for his ideal combination of legal knowledge and business acumen. He has been involved in many of the largest fundraisings in Canada and has played a leading role in the formation of several complex and novel fund structures. Josh is co-leader of AIMA’s Alternative Credit Council Canada committee.

Natalie Renner has established herself as an exceptional talent in the insolvency and restructuring field, having served as lead counsel and as a key team member in many highly complex insolvencies spanning multiple industries. A respected thought leader, Natalie regularly writes, speaks and lectures on important industry developments, including in the emerging cannabis space.
