Veronika enjoys problem solving and is intrigued by the challenging and dynamic nature of legal work.

An undergraduate degree in international relations and psychology prepared Veronika to “think on her feet” and provides her with the skills to debate current issues, politics and history. She is motivated by the challenges and interesting work offered to Davies’ students and is looking forward to the new experiences ahead at our firm.

Veronika won first place at the 2015 American Bar Association Regional Negotiation Competition and the 2016 International Negotiation Competition.

Which myth about Davies would you want to dispel?

That the culture at Davies is overly competitive.

I am surprised at the level of support that I receive not only from my mentors, but also from my student colleagues.

What surprised you most about Davies during the interview process?

The diverse backgrounds, personalities and interests of the people that I met.

What experience, job or internship have you learned the most from or found most rewarding?

My summer clerkship at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice was one of the most rewarding experiences. I had the opportunity to observe how judges think and the different styles of lawyers coming before the court.
