A natural problem solver, Sawyer is pursuing a career in law for the opportunity to serve as both legal counsel and business adviser.
Sawyer credits his background in political science for teaching him how to look at issues logically and to see both sides of an argument. He believes these are invaluable skills that he is eager to bring to the practice of law.
Sawyer chose Davies for the opportunity to work with pre-eminent lawyers on top-tier files.
Why did you choose to work with Davies?
Everyone at Davies is at the top of their game – there’s no B-team here. I wanted to surround myself with the most talented lawyers as a way to challenge myself and learn as much as possible from them.
What skill would you like to learn?
I’d love to be able to speak French fluently. My French skills have gotten pretty rusty after leaving McGill. I think bilingualism is an important part of being Canadian.
When you are not in school, you are…?
