Robyn was drawn to the practice of law because it is dynamic and challenging, with the potential to effect meaningful change in all areas of society.

Before law school, Robyn worked in oil and gas consulting for almost three years. She believes that her business degree and work experience will serve her well in her legal career, having given her the tools to think from the client’s perspective, to understand industry trends and implications, and to speak the language of business.

Robyn chose Davies because of our reputation for excellence and our flexible student program, which gives students exposure to our diverse practice groups.

What are you most looking forward to during your time at Davies?

I am excited to learn from and work with some of the brightest legal minds in the country, particularly in such areas as mining and securities law.

Is there an organization that means a lot to you?

I love animals and recently fulfilled my dream of working with animals by becoming involved with the Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary (RVWS). RVWS is a non-profit organization that cares for injured and orphaned wild animals with the goal of rehabilitation and release.

I played a lot of sports growing up, and one of the quotes that has really stuck with and continues to motivate me is: “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.”
