A student in York University’s JD/MBA program, Dajena believes her business degree gives her an expansive and practical perspective of our clients’ needs and concerns.
She chose Davies for the opportunity to be mentored by “the best in the legal field.” She especially values the relationships she has developed with female lawyers at the firm whose tenacity and skills make them important role models.

“Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.”
What surprised you most about Davies during the interview process?
I was pleased to see that there were a number of lawyers with a similar background to mine – first generation immigrants – and that the firm has been very supportive of their career growth.
What experience, job or internship have you learned the most from?
My investment banking internship at BMO taught me a lot about myself and about the value of a good team during live deals.
