With a background in political studies, Kimvy has a great appreciation for the way the law can be used as a tool to shape public policy.

She looks forward to being trained and mentored by the best and brightest during her time at Davies, as well as to bonding with other students.

Why did you choose to work with Davies?

The people. I was immediately drawn in by the warmth of the people I met, and the quiet confidence with which they carried themselves.

Is there an organization that means a lot to you?

The Canadian Civil Liberties Association. This organization does incredible work engaging the public on civil liberty issues through its website and public outreach programs. It has intervened in many significant cases before the Supreme Court of Canada. I volunteered for its Talk Rights Project, writing blog posts about issues related to democratic rights, specifically on extending the right to vote to non-citizens.

If you could choose a superpower, which would it be?

To speak every language in the world fluently. I love the idea of being able to communicate with everyone and anyone without barriers.
