Caroline chose Davies because our unique flexible structure allows students to customize their experience to suit their goals.
She is confident that the problem-solving skills she developed studying health sciences, as well as her ability to think critically, will position her for success as a lawyer.
What surprised you most about Davies during the interview process?
I loved how close all the lawyers seemed to be. Everyone got along and genuinely enjoyed spending time with each other. I was surprised at how naturally collegial Davies lawyers are.
Is there an organization that means a lot to you?
I have had the pleasure of being involved with Lawyers Without Borders, an organization that sends lawyers to developing countries to help the local lawyers ensure a fair and just legal system. Last year I was VP of Events of the McGill chapter, a role in which I was responsible for organizing events to raise awareness about the organization’s mission and about human rights law in general.
What experience, job or internship have you learned the most from or found most rewarding?
I have been working at the Legal Information Clinic at McGill for the past year. People that use the clinic are often in very difficult situations, and I loved being able to assist them and to do my part to improve access to justice.
