Debra is a law clerk in the litigation practice area and has over 40 years of legal experience. When her then employer, John I. Laskin, joined the partnership more than 25 years ago to build Davies' first litigation department, Debra became the sole litigation clerk. She now supervises an eight-person team of litigation law clerks and other litigation support and technology specialists.
Debra supports the lawyers in all practice areas in the Toronto, New York and Montréal offices, and is a member of a number of firm committees including the Space Planning Committee tasked with responsibilities for the Toronto office's move to new premises in 2012. She has worked directly with clients, the Courts and Commissions of Inquiry on various special projects. With her highly collaborative, exacting and hard-working team and as her priority, she supports the Toronto litigation lawyers and their clients by delivering sophisticated solutions in evidence collection and analysis, case management, fact and document management, logistics and e-discovery services. Debra balances internal and trusted external resources to maximize time and cost efficiencies. Debra is renowned for her creative approach, her institutional knowledge, and her mentorship.
