      Acted as lead counsel to Australian-headquartered global packaging manufacturer, Amcor Limited, in its acquisition of Alcan Packaging operations from Rio Tinto plc in 31 countries for approximately US$2 billion.       Acted for Commerz Grundbesitz Investmentgesellschaft GmbH ("CGI"), one of the largest real estate investment fund managers in Europe, in its acquisition of a 50% interest in six limited partnerships that own six major Canadian regional shopping centres and one office tower, with a combined leaseable area of more than 4 million square feet. This is CGI's first investment in Canada. The scope and magnitude of the transaction makes it one of the most significant transactions in the Canadian real estate industry in recent history.   2004
