Brandon Wiener is a partner in the tax department. Brandon advises clients on the income tax aspects of domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganizations, as well as estate planning. Brandon also possess a strong background in commercial and tax litigation.

Brandon was called to the Quebec Bar in November 2003, after which he worked for sixteen months as a law clerk for the Honourable Mr. Justice Michel Bastarache at the Supreme Court of Canada. Brandon was called to the Law Society of Upper Canada in September 2005.

Brandon obtained his B.C.L. and LL.B. from McGill University, ranking second in his graduating class. While at law school, Brandon was awarded a host of prizes and scholarships, including the Alexander Morris Exhibition Prize (for highest standing in second year), the Stikeman, Elliott/Carswell National Tax Award Prize (for excellence in Taxation Law and Corporate Law), the Allan Neil Assh Memorial Award (for highest standing in the Business Associations course), and the Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP Scholarship (for highest standing in the Securities Regulation course). Brandon became a partner in 2007.
