Peter has worked on a variety of matters, including public and private securities offerings, loan financings and take-over bids.  In the last few years, Peter has acted for both issuers and underwriters in a number of major public offerings of securities, including the public offerings by Canadian Capital Auto Receivables Asset Trust of over $1.1 billion of receivables-backed notes.  Peter also acts regularly for investment banks, single and multi-vendor conduits, asset originators and other active participants in the Canadian securitization market in securitizing a broad range of asset classes, including residential mortgages, credit card receivables, personal lines of credit, auto leases, auto loans and equipment leases.  These transactions have been funded primarily by commercial paper and mid-term note issuances in the public and private markets in Canada and the United States. 

Peter received a B.Sc. from Mount Allison University in 1994 and an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia in 1999.  He became a partner in 2003.
