Michael Vineberg is a partner specializing in corporate, tax and trust law. Michael’s practice is diverse, encompassing domestic and international transactions and planning. Michael represents entrepreneurs, private and multinational public companies, as well as investment firms and family trusts.

Michael is a member of the Canadian, Quebec and Ontario Bar Associations and the International Fiscal Association. He is a director of several companies, including Velan Inc., Blinds To Go Inc. and Claridge Inc. He has also been a director of several U.S. and Israeli public companies and serves as a trustee of numerous family trusts. Michael is active in several charities.

Michael is included in the Canadian Legal LEXPERT Directory as a repeatedly recommended practitioner in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, as well as estate and personal tax planning. He is also recognized as a trusts and estate leading lawyer by The Best Lawyers in Canada and has achieved Martindale-Hubbell’s highest ranking.

Michael has been a sessional lecturer in Corporate Law at McGill University’s Faculty of Law and has also given courses in Trust Taxation. He received his B.A., M.A. and B.C.L. from McGill University. He joined the firm as an associate in 1968 and has been a partner since 1977.
