Andrea acted as counsel to the developer of the Confederation Bridge in a construction dispute, for a Canadian company transmitting television signals over the Internet and for the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) in litigation regarding the establishment of a new Internet domain-name service. She successfully represented Pacifica Papers in one of the leading Canadian contested plan of arrangement and oppression remedy cases. She acted for Northern Telecom Ltd. before the Court of Appeal for Ontario in Fecht v. Deloitte & Touche, the leading Ontario case on letters rogatory. Andrea is also counsel to Bell ExpressVu Limited Partnership, an intervenor in an application brought by various satellite television dealers to challenge the constitutionality, on freedom of expression grounds, of various provisions of the Radiocommunication Act which prohibit the decryption of U.S. direct-to-home satellite television programming in Canada. She acts for a generic pharmaceutical company in defending a civil competition action challenging "ultragenerics". Andrea is counsel to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation in an action brought by the First Nations in Ontario regarding entitlement to the revenues generated by Casino Rama. She is also litigation counsel in various environmental actions, defending claims of nuisance, trespass, negligence and waste relating to contaminated lands and aquifer contamination.
Andrea is a guest instructor at the Intensive Trial Advocacy Course at Osgoode Hall Law School. She is also a member of the firm's Student Committee, which is responsible for the recruitment, development and evaluation of summer and articling students at the firm.
Andrea graduated from McGill University in 1991 with a B.Comm. (Joint Honours Economics/Finance). She received an LL.B. from the University of Toronto in 1994, graduating with Honours. She became a partner of the firm in 1998.
