William Brock practises corporate and commercial litigation with a focus on complex commercial, corporate and securities matters, fraud and misappropriation claims (including Mareva type injunctions), shareholders' rights disputes, arbitration and international disputes. He conducts litigation at both trial and appellate levels, including before the Supreme Court of Canada.

He has represented Canada’s leading public companies, a range of private companies and various government institutions.

William is recognized in Who’s Who of Canada, and the Chambers Global’s The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business which states that “he is said to bring his own brand of imagination and restless intellect to cases to brilliant effect.” As well, he is a most frequently recommended practitioner in corporate commercial litigation, securities litigation and officers liability in the Canadian Legal LEXPERT Directory and is listed in LEXPERT/American Lawyer Media’s Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada as a leading practitioner in corporate commercial litigation. William is a regular on the legal lecture circuit, and is a frequent speaker and author on issues of corporate law, governance and shareholders remedies.

William completed his B.Comm., B.C.L. and LL.B. at McGill University. He became a partner in 1986.
