Laurent's practice covers a range of corporate mergers and acquisitions work as well as competition and intellectual property law. With a particular focus on the pharmaceutical industry, he has represented most of the major players within France, litigating and lobbying the government in connection with defining new medicines. He also has expertise in high technology law, representing French software companies with designs to expand into the U.S. market. Laurent works closely with the firm's North American offices to assist U.S. and Canadian companies in establishing a presence in Europe.
Laurent completed his LL.M. in 1985 and his B.C.L. at the University of Paris II (Assas). He has been with the firm since 1991. Laurent has written articles for the Arbitration Review and is consulted regularly to contribute specialized publications regarding the pharmaceutical industry.
