Gabriella Lombardi is a partner practising in the commercial real estate group with a focus on acquisitions and dispositions of commercial property, development of major real estate projects, joint ventures, financing on the security of real property and commercial leasing.

Gabriella has recently represented a number of major Canadian pension funds and other institutional investors with respect to direct acquisitions of commercial property and investments in limited partnerships formed for the purpose of acquiring office, retail, industrial and other types of property.

Over the past couple of years, Gabriella has been extensively involved with the sale by a major public company of hydro-electric facilities in Ontario and has acted for the underwriters with respect to the transfer of a portfolio of retail properties primarily located in Atlantic Canada to Crombie REIT in connection with its initial public offering.

Gabriella has had significant involvement in advising Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation on the commercial real estate aspects of the development and financing of the Permanent Casino Complex in Niagara Falls, Ontario and advising FortisOntario in connection with its acquisition of electricity and generation distribution companies and the leasing of electricity assets.  She has also acted for Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation in the acquisition of properties for numerous charity casinos in Ontario and the financing of the development of slot facilities at racetracks across the Province.

Gabriella graduated with Distinction from the University of Toronto with a B.A. in 1990 and received an LL.B. in 1993 from the University of Western Ontario.  She became a partner in 1997.
