Daniela R. Liscio
 
 
Daniela Liscio is a partner practising in the areas of corporate, commercial and securities law. Daniela has acted for her clients on public and private financings, public and private mergers and acquisitions and general corporate and commercial matters.

Since joining the firm, Daniela has played a key role in a number of private placements and public offerings and has assisted clients with private acquisitions and bank financings. Her experience includes such transactions as the $5 billion medium term note program launched by Merrill Lynch & Co.  In addition, Daniela has worked on a number of acquisitions of privately owned companies by both public and private company purchasers.  Recently, Daniela assisted Braveheart Investors L.P., an affiliate of Westmont Hospitality Group and Cadim, Inc., a division of Caisse de dépot et placement du Québec in its acquisition of Boykin Lodging Company in a cash merger transaction valued at approximately $416 million, including debt.  Daniela also acted for a joint venture comprised of Kimco Realty Corp. and Westmont Hospitality Group in the purchase of stock of Intown Suites, and has acted for a private company in its acquisitions of retail and merchandising private enterprises.

While studying at the University of Western Ontario, Daniela assisted in writing a five-volume text on secured transactions in personal property, an annotated personal property security act and a text on debt restructuring.

Daniela graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the University of Waterloo in 1993 and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Toronto in 1994. In 2000, Daniela graduated with a combined LL.B. and M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario, where she was awarded a prize for excelling in the areas of corporate and commercial law and another for her standing as the top combined LL.B./M.B.A. student. She became a partner in 2004 and in 2005, Daniela began working in the firm's New York office.  Daniela was called to the New York Bar in 2008.
