Marie-Ève Gingras is an associate in the firm’s Litigation practice in Montréal. She specializes in commercial litigation and is involved in the preparation of major cases brought before the Québec Courts.
In 2008, Marie-Ève studied at the Faculty of Law of the City University of Hong Kong. She joined the firm as a student in 2007 and was hired as a lawyer in 2009 upon her call to the Bar.
Prior to joining the firm, Marie-Ève worked as a consultant in international affairs for the Québec Department of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade and she is also a former research assistant for the Faculty of Law of Université de Montréal.
Representative Work
- Part of the team that defended a Québec-based gas retailer against accusations from the Competition Bureau and a class action relating to allegations of price-fixing and violations to the Competition Act.
- Part of the litigation team in the Farès Bou Malhab v. Diffusion Métromédia CMR Inc. case, in which a class action was brought by Montréal Haitian and Arab taxi drivers against André Arthur and Métromédia in respect of remarks made by André Arthur on the radio.
