Jessica Norman is an associate in the litigation group and is developing a broad practice in general civil litigation.  She has been involved in a variety of commercial law matters, including proceedings involving contractual disputes, oppression remedy actions, shareholder disputes, corporate governance and international investment disputes.

Since joining the firm Jessica has worked on several complex commercial litigation cases before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Quebec Superior Court of Justice.  Most notably, Jessica was a member of the team representing BCE Inc. and Bell Canada in obtaining approval of a plan of arrangement proposed by BCE and in successfully defending proceedings by certain bond holders of Bell Canada opposing the plan.

Jessica received a B.A. (Honours) in English from Acadia University in 2002.  She received a J.D. from the University of Toronto in 2007, where she was the recipient of the Ori Fidani Prize for excellence in Real Estate Law.  While studying law at the University of Toronto Jessica worked at the faculty's legal aid clinic, Downtown Legal Services, and was a member of its student executive.  As an immigration and refugee caseworker Jessica appeared before a variety of government bodies, as well as the  Immigration and Refugee Board.

Jessica summered and articled with the firm and returned to the litigation group following her call to the Ontario Bar in 2008.
