Bryan D. McLeese
 
 
Bryan McLeese is an associate in the litigation group.  Bryan is developing a broad practice in general civil litigation. He has been involved in a variety of proceedings including contractual disputes, defamation actions, oppression remedy actions, administrative law actions and corporate governance disputes.

Since joining the firm, Bryan has worked on numerous complex commercial litigation cases before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Quebec Superior Court of Justice.  Most notably, Bryan was a member of the team representing BCE Inc. and Bell Canada, including before the Supreme Court of Canada, in obtaining approval of a plan of arrangement proposed by BCE and in successfully defending proceedings by certain bond holders of Bell Canada opposing the plan.

Bryan received a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with Distinction) from the University of Toronto in 2004. He received his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2007.  While studying law at Osgoode, Bryan worked with the Community Legal Aid Services Program on matters pertaining to employment law, landlord and tenant disputes and human rights law. In addition, Bryan served as the Vice President – External of the Osgoode Hall Legal and Literary Society.

In recognition of his volunteer contributions while at Osgoode, Bryan received a Dean's Gold Key Award for exceptional student leadership, commitment and enthusiasm.  He also received the Cassels Brock LLP Prize for achieving the highest standing in Constitutional Law.  Bryan summered and articled with the firm, and returned to the litigation group following his call to the Ontario Bar in 2008.
