Dominique Fortin is a partner who specializes in corporate and commercial law as well as securities, with an emphasis on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions.
She has acted for many public and private companies in connection with initial public offerings, debt and equity offerings, take-over bids, mergers and acquisitions, and the implementation of arrangement plans and other corporate restructurings. She has also represented many underwriting syndicates in connection with various distributions and advises clients on compliance, securities regulation and corporate governance matters on an ongoing basis.
Before joining Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg, Dominique worked for another prominent Canadian law firm where she participated in many large transactions.
Dominique received her law degree from Université Laval in 1984 and was called to the Quebec Bar in 1985. She is an active member of Financial Executives International (FEI), the Association of Financial Women of Quebec (FWA) and the Canadian Bar Association (CBA). Dominique joined the firm in 2007.
Dominique is fluent in both English and French.
