Upon commencing employment, all staff participate in an extensive orientation session combined with relevant training and integration initiatives. Our legal secretaries participate in a comprehensive two week training program which provides them with a strong overview of our technical applications and document standards.

In this role you will be responsible for but not limited to: researching and implementing new technologies; supporting existing applications; conducting internal needs analysis; interacting with vendors to select and evaluate appropriate applications; managing and maintaining specific initiatives including viDesktop, Carpe Diem, Summation, EnAct and InterAction databases; and providing technical support at all levels.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three years experience in systems analysis, application integration and project management. Formal Information Technology training is preferred with a thorough knowledge of an MS Windows server environment, and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Working knowledge of OpenText DM5 or another DMS, and of MS SQL 7.0, 2000 is also required.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills; be self motivated with the ability to work well independently; have strong project management and time management skills. Basic typing skills considered an asset. Previous experience in a mid to large sized organization is preferred, and previous IT experience in a law firm is ideal.
