Student Events
While not an exhaustive list, here are some typical social events which have been organized for our summer students in recent years:
Application Process
Students interested in applying for a position should submit an application by mail, e-mail or fax to our Director, Student Affairs. A complete application includes a cover letter and résumé as well as a copy of your law school and undergraduate transcripts.
Recruitment dates are governed by the Law Society but second year summer applications are typically due in early September (ie. of a student's second year of law school). On-campus interviews take place during October. Final interviews take place in Toronto during the second or third week of November. First year summer applications are typically due in late January (ie. of a student's first year of law school). Interviews take place in Toronto during the third week of February. For more information and exact dates, please speak to your Career Development Office or contact the Law Society (www.lsuc.ca) for a copy of their procedures governing recruitment.
Recruitment Events
Our Student Committee will be visiting a number of law school campuses throughout the Fall to conduct on-campus interviews of students in their second year of law school. We also attend at campuses throughout late January to March of each year to participate in various law school career days. For the exact dates on when Davies will be at your school, please check with your law school's career development office or contact Frances Mahil, our Director, Student Affairs.
