Mark Katz,  a partner  with  Davies' Competition and Foreign Investment Review group,  has been appointed Vice-Chair of the International Antitrust Law Committee and Vice-Chair of the Canada Committee of the ABA Section of International Law  for the term running from August 4, 2009, to August 5, 2010.

The Antitrust Law Committee is one of the largest communities of international antitrust lawyers practising around the world. The Committee keeps members informed about global antitrust developments through regular reports. It comments on antitrust law and policy proposals by governments around the world, meets with antitrust regulators, publishes an annual "Year-in-Review" (edited by three Davies lawyers),  collects information on the essentials of merger review in jurisdictions around the world, and hosts regular meetings on various international antitrust issues.
