Toronto, May 25, 2009 — The Government of the Republic of Singapore, with the agreement of the Government of Canada, has appointed David A. Brown, Q.C., Counsel at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP,  as Singapore's Honorary Consul-General in Toronto, Canada.

Mr. Brown’s professionalism also extends to the many for profit and not-for-profit boards and committees on which he sits. These include the role of  the Founding Chair of the Council of Governors for the Canadian Public Accountability Board, Chair of the Public Policy Forum (PPF), Chair of the Governance and Leadership Council of the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) and the Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees of the University Health Network.
