June 18, 2007

June 18, 2007 - Results from the 2007 second quarter Report on Business C-Suite Survey, sponsored by Davies and KPMG, were announced today.  This quarterly survey of CEOs, CFOs and COOs reports on the views of executives from some of Canada's largest companies.

The second survey of 2007 focuses on private equity and seeks the views of C-Suite executives on issues, including:

  • the role of Canadian and foreign private equity investors
  • the impact of taking companies private
  • opportunities and problems associated with private equity investments
  • foreign ownership of Canadian companies

This survey also continues to track their views on:

  • expectations for the Canadian and U.S. economies
  • impressions and confidence in Federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty

Jay Swartz, from Davies' Toronto office, will appear on a Business News Network (BNN) special presentation at 8.00 p.m. this evening as part of an expert panel to discuss the findings.  Visit the BNN website and view the discussion (available Tuesday, June 19).

Through our support of this survey series, Davies hopes to provide a better understanding of the views of Canadian business leaders on a range of public policy, management and strategic issues.  The surveys are conducted by the Gandalf Group, led by David Herle.
