The article provides a in-depth look into the proposed acquisition of Bolivar Gold Corp. by Gold Fields Limited, deconstructing this complicated case from beginning to end. Davies acted for Scion Capital, the largest shareholder in Bolivar Gold Corp, and provided  advice in connection with Scion's solicitation of proxies in opposition to the acquisition and also represented Scion, the Clinton Group and Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder Advisors LLC in the Yukon Supreme Court  in opposing court approval of the arrangement and in connection with a claim of oppression against Bolivar and certain of its directors.
