Quarterly Executive Survey Reveals Views on the Federal Budget and Productivity

June 12, 2006

Results from the second Report on Business C-Suite Survey, sponsored by Davies and KPMG, were announced today.  This quarterly survey of CEOs, CFOs and COOs reports on the views of executives from some of Canada's largest companies.

Through our support of this survey series, Davies hopes to provide a better understanding of the views of Canadian business leaders on a range of public policy, management and strategic issues.  The surveys are being conducted by the Gandalf Group, led by David Herle.

This second survey, focusing on the federal budget and productivity, seeks the views of C-Suite executives on issues, including:

  • their expectations for the Canadian and U.S. economies in the next 12 months;
  • the impact of the federal budget and impressions of  the Finance Minister;
  • Canadian productivity challenges and concerns;
  • the effect of the high Canadian dollar;
  • their response to current child care policy.

A report on the survey findings can be found in the Monday, June 12, 2006 Report on Business and George N. Addy, from Davies' Toronto office, appeared on an ROB-TV special presentation at 8.30 p.m. Monday evening to review and comment on the findings.
