Davies Sponsors Survey Series seeking opinions from CEOs, CFOs and COOs

March 20, 2006

Results from the first Report on Business C-Suite Survey, sponsored by Davies and KPMG, were announced today.  This quarterly survey of CEOs, CFOs and COOs will report on the views of executives from some of Canada's largest companies.

Through our support of this survey series, Davies hopes to provide a better understanding of the views of Canadian business leaders on a range of public policy, management and strategic issues.  The surveys are being conducted by the Gandalf Group, led by David Herle.  This first survey, focusing on federal priorities, seeks the views of C-Suite executives on a number of issues, including:

  • expectations for the new government in matters of economic policy and accountability;
  • priorities and major issues in the new government's platform;
  • productivity of the Canadian and U.S. economies in the next 12 months;
  • and the impact of the new conservative government on Canada/U.S. relations.

A report on the survey findings can be found in the Monday, March 20, 2006 Report on Business and David A. Brown, from Davies' Toronto office, appeared on an ROB-TV special presentation at 8.30 p.m. Monday evening to review and comment on the findings.  Also on March 20, David Herle from The Gandalf Group discussed to discuss the results at 6:45 a.m. on Canada A.M. and presented to the Economic Club of Toronto over lunch.
